For one of our clients, an important company within the retail sector, we are looking for a Planning Director.

His/her main duties will be to direct the strategic planning of sales, proposing corrective and preventive actions and identifying opportunities of sale. Leading the formulation of analytical approaches and action plans to improve business forecasts, gross margin, turnover and replenishment.

Main Responsibilities:

Analyze retail sales and profitability for retail partners with an end goal of growing the business.

Monitor retailers weekly sales trends and promotional activity in order to identify risk andopportunities.

Conduct data analysis of classifications and strategize how to use the information to drive sales.

Develops organization-wide or department-wide goals, objectives, policies and procedures

Prepares division/department/organization operations Budget

Reviews all departmental reports and presentations

Review sales by store to ensure top performers are receiving the stock needed to exceed plans.

Provide strategic direction both in season and pre-season targeted at increasing sales and profitability.

Monitor inventory and receipt levels to enable sales plans to be achieved or exceeded.

Track all levers to optimize sales, turn, gross margin and stock

Develop replenishment strategies where applicable to ensure proper flow and improved profitability.

Create functional relationships that improve products lines and drive sales at retail.

Develop successful working relationships with retail buying and planning teams.

Follow-up of the plan and corrective actions.

Leading the proper distribution according to the sales planned.

Guarantees the agility in replenishments

Lead the fulfillment of the stock needs by store.

Work cross functionally with sales, merchandising, design and production in order to influence future assortments.

Provide leadership and motivate other planning team members, mentor junior staff members.


10 years of experience in planning with at least 5 years of experience managing a planning area.

Experience within the fast-fashion sector.

Demonstrated excellence in retail data analysis and Open to Buy management.

Strategic vision.

Proven management skills and ability to manage day-to- day operations
